Day 264 of the 365 to 40 project. A while ago we planted a hardenbergia, a native Australian climbing plant, and it has been doing fantastically. A few weeks ago it stopped growing new shoots and started putting all its energy into putting out some flower spikes just as it should at this time of year. This is an ultra macro close up of one of those spikes that had fallen off (either via wind or an overexcited insect) prior to the flowers blooming. Once it does bloom it should be very impressive.
