Day 289 of the 365 to 40 project. Despite what many Australian might imagine winter here really doesn’t get to what I might call “properly cold” – that is below freezing. If it does it doesn’t really manage to last all that long. Last night was one of those rare events for my area getting dow to -4c overnight. This was enough to freeze a reasonable solid slab of ice on top of the birdbath which is what this shot is of, looking through the peeled up surface through to the yard behind.
