Day 246 of the 365 to 40 project. Found this wonderful hakea bloom on our walk this afternoon. It was a near perfect sphere when I got it but it suffered a slight mishap known as “being sat on by a cat” and got mildly squashed. I hadn’t realised that hakea’s made such wonderful blooms until today so I’m now looking to find a dwarf hakea to help fill in the native plant section of the garden that we’re building.
